If you have kids don't come here!!!! We just came from Venture Out and we had the worst five days of harassment at the Pool with our kids. The place has elderly owners that hate kids and mistreat children for no real reason. Plus the security guards are prejudice and HATE kids. Thet treat kids like they want to kill them for no reason at all. Kids are not allowed to use any types of toys in the pool. No inflatables no tubes. Nothing. They expect kids just to stand in the pool and do NOTHING. The place is very expensive to come to a vacation and have to deal with this personal harassment. Si tienen niños no vengan a este lugar. A estos Americanos no les gustan los Latinos ni los niños. No dejan jugar a los niños en la piscina. Son extremadamente groseros con los niños. Las reglas son extremadamente estúpidas. En resumidas cuentas deben de hacer el Resort exclusivamente para ancianos!!!!!
I don't hate children but I dislike parents too lazy or inept to teach their children manners and consideration for others. If you can't control your children and choose to ignore the clearly displayed rules I for one hope you don't come back.

Iris, it is true that Venture Out has many rules, some are pretty confusing and not always evenly enforced. I'm a bit confused as to why you chose to write this review for the onsite realtor/leasing agency. You should have written your off base review under Venture Out Resort. Venture Out Resort makes and enforces the rules you feel should be made to accommodate your wishes and desires.

As a long term renter one of the most annoying issues I deal with is the short term renters who disregard the rules. The pool rules are clearly posted, if you want to play with rafts and inflatables there is a roped off area near the boat launch. Granted it isn't the pool but it is roped off for swimmers. There is a KOA just down the road that may have more lax rules to your liking but my only complaint about the pool rules for VENTURE OUT RESORT is that they aren't enforced more often. Small children in the large adult pool wearing diapers is not only a violation of the clearly displayed rules but disgusting. Children hang on the pool rope, splash other pool users, run on the pool deck, hang on the handrails, and dive into the pool while their parents do nothing but violate the other clearly displayed pool rules. There is an area designated for smoking that is frequently ignored, drinks, food and other items are commonly left on the pool deck even though there are several signs clearly stating that those items are not to be within 5 feet of the pool, children under 12 are left unattended by an adult in violation of another clearly displayed rule. To feel harassed by security for enforcing the clearly displayed rules that you chose to ignore is a weak attempt at placing blame where it doesn't belong.
